Your Journey as a Marketing Professional.
My journey is unlike any other. My background is in PLANT BIOCHEMISTRY for which I have a PhD in, and I essentially understood how marketing works. But more importantly though, I have a great vision for what I wish Karya to achieve and I have hand-chosen an awesome team to help navigate through the ever-changing waters of Marketing. My strength as I have found out these last 3 years has not been that I am the ‘best at Adwords’ or ‘best graphic designer’, but is that I am a conductor to the orchestra of talent I have assembled and allowed their strengths to shine. This ultimately has helped ‘US’ lead to the great heights and success Karya Property Management has accomplished. I am extremely blessed to be in the position I am in currently and I thoroughly enjoy working with the people I do.
What are the primary marketing channels you have worked on? What will be your advice to young marketers on each of these channels?
The primary marketing channels I have worked on has primarily been digitally focused. Creating content for Social Media platforms, Google and other forms of online marketing have been essential for Karya success. In a matter of 2 short years, we were able to grow our online following to tens of thousands of engaging potential residents.
My advice? My advice is to never stop learning and asking questions!
This space of digital marketing NEVER stops evolving and manifesting itself. You must be knowledgable in the newest trends in order to better provide the best service to your client.
What are some of the important marketing software that you have used and found to be really useful for your company?
We at Karya, have been able to take advantage of numerous platforms that help our marketing infrastructure grow. The use of Google Drive and the sharing of documents within the Drive, have been able to allow our entire workforce share, create, and request information in real-time. Also, software such as Klipfolio has allowed us to create custom dashboards to share marketing analytics seamlessly to the 55 multifamily housing assets we manage. This information is useful to the Regional Managers and Property Managers in determining and tracking what campaigns have been useful and successful.
Would you like to share a few words about any marketing software that you absolutely love and always recommend it to others?
Google right now is really on top of their game. They offer so many tools from Adwords to Analytics that help my team accomplish so many daily tasks. The organization and simplicity of all the tools allow us to manage so many complex campaigns that are constantly ongoing and vital to marketing the individual properties.
Your 2 line advice to people entering in the marketing domain.
“Never stop learning and perfecting your craft! The job, your job, as a marketing professional is never complete.”
